Work-life balance

It doesn’t matter whether you enjoy your work or not and what role does it play in your life you should always have an opportunity to “escape” and to have some free time out of work. It can be quite difficult for you if work is a significant part of your life. That is great that you have achieved some results doing your career but it’s very harmful to be in a permanent working tension. Someday your relationship with people surrounding you will be damage because of it. Moreover, lack of rest can reduce an affectivity of your work. Your body and mind need for relaxation at least sometimes.

If you are lack of time that means that you are just failed to manage your time. But it isn’t enough just to understand it. How to cope with it – that is the question. You can make a list of obligatory work and follow it. You can also try to delineate the time for work and for home. Try not to violate it and distinguish in your schedule time for yourself. And don’t be afraid to ask for help.

To find the right leisure that is the point I think. For instance, if you work at an office you should have a free time in the open air and besides it is desirable for you to play active games. And just the opposite, if you work hard you should have calm and quiet rest. Mental depletion is a very deep and serious problem. Try to avoid it at any price.

Varity is a good thing and it is a neat solution in a question how to gain work-life balance. Intertwine different things in your life and it will become more interesting and much easier!

How did you learn English?

This is a very long story! :-) I started learning English at school, and then continued at the university. The listening always was the hardest for me. But I tried to overcome these difficulties, listening to music, and watching films in English. And there was a moment when I thought that I coped with it. But! When I went to Canada and found myself in English-speaking community, I realized that I did not understand almost anything. It was a shock. The Chinese talked with one accent, the French-with another, the speech of the African-Canadians I did not understand at all. And then I realized that the best way of the language learning is to be in the environment where this language is spoken. Since then I try to communicate with my English-speaking friends not through the typing, but with the help of Skype.

What does English give to you?

It gives me new opportunities such as making new acquaintances or building new business prospects.
The learning a foreign language gives me the opportunity to meet new people.
The learning a foreign language also provides new employment opportunities.
Professionals who speak second language are called for travel and business purposes. Moreover such people also get to use new technologies and ideas. They also get to seek out more opportunities in the community.
Apart from business and profession, foreign language acquisition opens new doors to a new culture, its ideas and its people. Learning a new language makes a difference to how I see the people and how the world sees me.
Knowing a second language is definitely a plus, an advantage! It may ensure better job, a better pay, or new opportunities. No matter what benefits it gives in the tangible world, it definitely opens ways to meet people from other countries and cultures.
