How the Grinch Stole Halloween 

There was a nice little village, where lived happy and good people. And all of them were fond of Halloween. And the Grinch lived alone in the mountains, and he was angry at the whole world because he was lonely, and everyone in that village was happy. And the Grinch hated Halloween more and more. Meanwhile Halloween is coming and he decided to steal Halloween from everybody!
 

He was a kind of physicist-designer and he’d got that type of telescope that allowed him to see what was happening in the village.

And he saw that everyone was making preparations for Halloween. People were buying pumpkins, carving them, trying "ugly" (to his mind) costumes and were doing other happy holyday's things. And the Grinch decided to steal their happiness! And at night before Halloween, while everybody was sleeping blissfully, the Grinch stole all costumes!

And in one of those houses lived a cute little girl. She couldn't sleep that night and she climbed into a closet where her brother's costumes were hidden. So the Grinch stole our poor girl with these costumes. Rejoicing his catch he came back to his "kennel"... All of a sudden he found the girl! He tried to frighten her but she wasn't afraid! Just the opposite: she giggled! He seemed ridiculous and funny to her! He was in despair because everybody was afraid of him (at least until that moment)!

When the girl finally fell to sleep he looked at his telescope to make sure that the whole village grieved for spoiled holiday. Instead... nobody was crying! People were sewing new costumes!

And the Grinch grew furious! He would show them a holiday then! He would frighten them properly! At that moment the girl woke up and cooked him a simple breakfast, but he yelled at her. The girl burst into tears and ran to the corner. It was at first in his life he felt sympathize for somebody. He took the omelette (or whatever?) and took a bite (it turned out no so bad!). Joked one more time, and the girl smiled all over her face!

And the Grinch came back to his work. He loaded into a car some bags and they went towards the village. When they burst into the village all people stood rooted to the spot…The Grinch terribly yelled, throwing out of bags fizzy snakes and cockroaches! And all people ran away.

And he understood that he was the most scared one! But then...he heard the low cry of the girl who also was very frightened.

Just at that moment he realized that the girl was the only person who had ever smiled to him and he dared to offend her! He tried to make her laugh, did conjuring tricks but everything was in vain. And then he realized that the only way to make the girl happy again is to return everything back...

He gave back all costumes and started to do conjuring tricks to everybody. People are frightened at first, they didn’t react properly but they heard a girl giggling and started to laugh, too! And when everybody calmed down, the Grinch apologized.
